Blue and Gold Banquet

For the Blue and Gold Cub Scout Banquet, each scout was supposed to make a dessert with their dad. Matthew and I made miniature hamburgers. We used nilla wafer cookies for the buns, York Peppermint Patties for the beef, frosting for the catchup and mustard, shredded coconut with green food coloring for the lettuce, and sesame seeds for...well....sesame seeds. (used honey to get them to stick)

Madagascar League Champs....kinda

Today was the last week of the first half of our bowling league. There are 8 teams with four people on each team. Our team consists of Ty, Matthew and two other children, a girl and a boy. Going into today's match, we were in first place by one game. Our record was 14-4. We won all four games today, to end the first half 18-4 and clinch the first half championship!

NCIS Special Agent

In the Percy household, the television show "NCIS" has become a favorite. Matthew especially likes the show and even has the hat and ID badge to prove it! This is how he was dressed for school today. (and most of this week, I just learned!)

Daddy, Daughter, Son date......

I found two willing volunteers not too far from home....We went to Big Al's bowling alley for an hour at Slider Alley.

After the bowling, we voted on where to eat dinner. I voted for home, but was outnumbered, so we ended up at a world class seafood restaurant instead.

We decided to let the lobsters live another day, but the snow crabs weren't so lucky...Muwahahaha.....

Sour Face

Matthew wanted to show me his face after licking a lemon...

Math Night

Recently Amy's middle school had Math Night. Amy met up with one of her friends and they had a great time going from station to station doing the different math problems. They also got extra credit in their math class!

Skiing

It's been 13 years since I have been snow skiing. I forgot how much fun it can be. It was made even more enjoyable because it was Amy's first time going, and we got to spend the whole day together having an absolute blast! Amy is a natural! She picked it right up and and did GREAT all day. (and night!) We spent a good part of the day on the bunny slopes learning basic technique, but she wasn't content to stay there all day. Finally we headed up one of the real lifts. I was determined to stay on the "easy" runs all the way down. (Green circle) Somehow we ended up on an intermediate run! (Blue square) Amy handled it well and only fell once! (knocking me down!) I'm not as young as I used to be....To make it more interesting, it was nighttime and snowing like crazy while we were coming down. we finally ran into another "easy" run and made it to the bottom safe and sound. Amy had a huge grin on her face all day. I think a new hobby may have been found....
