I love it when the weather person predicts rain and then they are completely wrong. Today was one of those days! It ended up being a beautiful day and perfect for working in the yard. We made some progress on the raised garden bed, even though the progress was slower than we would have liked, we are happy with how it is shaping up. You can see the base of crushed gravel, to ensure a solid foundation for the retaining wall blocks to rest on.

Nice! We just found out that we can have a garden at a member's property. He even sells the seeds! We will be getting it started soon. They prepare the ground and then water for us so we only plant, weed, & harvest. They also have a community garden that is planted and harvested for the local foodbank. Over 7,000 lbs of produce was donated this past year! We will definitely be helping with that as well. We'll keep you posted on our progress.
It's looking awesome. You are a truly hard worker, Ty. And it's cool these are family projects. I sort of think I will need an in-person tour of your back yard when you are all finished.
Nikki, Thanks for the kind words. You are more than welcome to come by and have a look, but I don't think I will ever be "all finished" lol.
